Some of our BBQ friends have heard this news, but some have not. To paraphrase the country song by Willie Nelson, it looks like the BBQ Guy and his one woman team are about to be “On the Road Again”.
We’re movin again
Ford couldn’t wait to get us movin again
The life we live is makin BBQ with friends
And we can’t wait to be movin’ again
Livin in a state we thought we’d never live in again
Packin things we said we’d never pack again
Looks like we’re movin again
On the road again
Like a band of rednecks we’ve packed the Ford 150
It’s just the two of us
Insisting that the BBQ is cooked our way, and our way
Is in Florida again
It’s been two years since we’ve left the sunshine state
We can’t wait to be movin again
See ya on the road again
Like a band of gypsies our stuff is in a movin van
We’ll miss our friends
Lookin forward to the weather turnin our way
And our way
Is in the warm again
We just can’t wait to be on the road again!
Okay maybe I am not a song writer, and maybe it is a stretch to make the tune work; but the song has been on my mind all weekend.
To our Michigan BBQ friends we say “Thank you” for your hospitality and when you are in the mood for a contest in January or February; come on down and visit. To our old Florida friends; we are on our way back. Although it might be a while before we compete (since the trailer is going for a visit at Grandpa’s in Missouri), Brian will be around judging and willing to volunteer if a team needs help. See you guys and gals soon.
